Someone as awesome as awesome can be makes a piece of art like this.
My God. I’m thunderstruck at the sheer awesometude of it. Thanks MagnusfromBerlin, whose last name I know but remains secret. If he had a website, I’d link the hell out of it. He’s a frequent commenter, and he and Crumpet are my favorites. Suck it, the rest of yous. When you do something as awesome as this, you can be my favorite.
Oh. And he called it a Kubrick Toy. I haven’t read the accompanying Wikipedia article yet, as I was too excited to get this posted.
He said that I should think of this as a concept for a line of Balding Angrily toy action figures that I could sell. I feel Alex Kubrick needs a time machine, so he can visit his past and live out all those sick fantasies about his high school classmates. That said, I love it with all my heart and soul.
Just. Awesome.
Edited to add: I just asked Magnus about The Chimera. That’s AdamandSam, my trusty mount on whom I ride into battle. I always pictured AdamandSam to be a fierce, scaled hydra. He envisioned him/them as more of a Falkor-like creature, a friendly luck-dragon. I like his interpretation better.
Magnus - rock, rock on.

Magnus is awesome; Crumpet is awesome.
There I said it! Happy now? I hate it that none of the rest of us are awesome or favorites and we have to suck it. How rude!
Anyone else notice the wrinkly lines on Alex of the Present’s tights which are missing from Alex of the Past? I wonder what Awesome Favorite Magnum is going for there!

Saltine,
As Ann Carrigan said, I have a way of cultivating jealousy. It’s a gift. You’re still my favorite editor.

I’m your favorite person ever. Duh. Everybody else can just be your favorite *insert category here*, but I get top spot. And I will fight you all to keep it.

First of all, who’s Ann Carrigan? I don’t know and Google doesn’t know either.
Second of all, I think this whole “what have you done for me lately” attitude of a certain balding someone sucks.
Third of all, Junior is everyone’s favorite, like a mascot.
Fourth of all, I don’t think Sam and Adam are going to be flattered by the whole chimera thingy. Not that anyone around here cares what other people think.

Like Ann Carrigan (Kilroy’s Carnival) said, before she disappeared from the Filmspotting Message Boards:
“I think Magnus is better than us. But then again, I think we’re all better than us. I never took logic.”
… I got nothing to add…

Saltine,
I think you know that “What have you done for me lately?” attitude comes from my biggest character flaw. I crave accolades. I’m very weak that way. I must have feedback. I was seriously considering giving up blogging last week when I didn’t get a single comment.
I’m sure your remember Ann. I kind of think of you two as cut from the same cloth. When I think about how Ann just dropped off the boards, it makes me sad.
I think of Junior as less of a mascot and more of a cymbal-playing monkey dancing next to a barrel organ. He’s cute. Entertaining. But you wouldn’t want to take him home.
AdamandSam should be flattered. I hope they are.

And, Magnus, Jerry wanted to thank you for casting his silent status in stone. He said that lets him off the hook.

Again with the monkey thing. You are the second gay person in the last week who told me I was cute. The other was my aunt. It’s kinda weird, I have to say.

Nice work Magnus. Suck it, Alex.

That’s so fucking awesome.

Alex of the Past looks alarmingly like Napoleon Dynamite. Alex of the Present appears to be a close relative of Don Rickles. Nice job, MagnusfromBerlin.
