hui, i feel a blog burnout coming on...
with the previous post, i actually feel a whole personality crisis coming on...
dude, you need to like find yourself and you know... shine your uniqueness bright...

ehm (trying to stay constructive), so: The Past - Boozing - annoying Jerry ... and "30 Rock", that is a TV show i assume (or do you like rock from the 1930's?) ... mmmh. What does your self-help blog book say about that? Does that say "find a niche"? If so burn it, because they are using empty standard business phrases...

intelligence is btw something that is completely overrated in music reviews, it's all down to taste not intelligence...

OK, that's enough meaningless dribble... will now go in the weekend ---

Not burnout. Just A LOT of questioning and introspection. The trick is to present this stuff in a way that MIGHT be interesting to read. In fact, if you can't tell, I'm very INTO the blog right now, at the expense of the boards unfortunately.

Also, the reason I'm asking for feedback lately is that seeing all these comments really, really helps keep me motivated to continue writing. I love the talk-back component of blogging. As I've already said, I need that ego stroking. I crave it. I would love to have the problem where the comments are so plentiful that I couldn't keep up.

And yes, 30 Rocks is a US TV show. I predict it will be exported in another couple of seasons like Friends.

If there is one rule I learned from musicals, it's "Make 'Em Laugh". So do it.

Nope. Not a gay joke. Just a comment on how little musicals I have seen. I don't even remember what movie that is from. I just don't really watch a lot of them. But that is a fun song. QWRLHawhsdapsoucy.

While "write about what you know about" is the most common advice an aspiring writer hears, I think that's perfectly obvious. Just try writing about something you don't know about and see how far you get. Better advice in my opinion is write if you have something to say. You may think that everyone has something to say, but let me tell you, they don't. As when you are talking to someone who is so boring that you can barely stand it, there are people writing who also have nothing of interest to write. To me you're a writer if you have a point of view and a desire to express that in writing. Writing has parts: compose, write, publish. You can stop at compose and still be a writer. However, living inside your head can be a dangerous place to reside. Write is the physical part, getting it out of the brain and into the light of day. Publication used to be the tricky part, but with self-publishing available through blogging, the writer simply has to make the decision to share.

Alex, you definitely have something to say, a point of view unique to you and important to you. You have the facility to write as an ability to put your thoughts on paper or screen. You are already sharing through your self-published blog. If you continue to write as you are now, your voice will develop more completely and identifiably and your satisfaction with your writing will increase.

"I love being a nuisance to Jerry. I’m not sure how that would translate to the web. Maybe a picture every time I jump on top of him while he’s trying to sleep? An update when I throw a kitty on him? A detailed description of how I poke his face while we’re driving? Help me out here, kiddos."

ARE YOU KIDDING? People LOVE learning about different ways to annoy their fellow human beings. Extra points to you if you include a true annoyance scale, from 1 (annoyingly cute) to 10 (gay divorce)

Ernie, I think I listed my favorite three ways.

I've been trying to compose something eloquent in response to my esteemed mentor making an appearance here, and that was what I came up with.

Saltine,

I'm not sure if Steve Blow is syndicated or not. He has a column in The Dallas Morning News. He wrote one column one time that coincided with my coming out to my parents, and I clipped and saved it for the longest time. He's not gay, but for some reason what he said really struck home with me.

ahh... cracked the "Balding Code", you have just to read the capitalised words, the rest is just to disguise the true message...
So, your true reply to my message in fact is:

<B>"A LOT MIGHT INTO US TV"</B>

confusing ... but very intriguing... I'm on to you
